Privacy Policy

Itinerist is a travel planner that keeps your trips on your device and,

if you use iCloud, in your own private iCloud database. The app has no

accounts, no analytics and no advertising, and its developer never receives

your data.

## What the app stores

Trips, plans, attachments (confirmation PDFs and images), your traveller

profile (passport countries and expiry dates (never passport numbers) home

city, favourite airlines and hotel chains, preferences), trip budgets and

notification preferences. Everything is stored on your device. With iCloud

enabled, it is copied to your private iCloud database, which only your

Apple Account can read; Apple's iCloud terms apply.

## What leaves your device, and why

- Exchange rates are fetched from open.er-api.com. The request carries no

personal data.

- Weather for the place of your current plan is fetched from

‍ ‍api.open-meteo.com using the coordinates of that place name. Your own

location is never read: the app does not request location access.

- Flight and cruise lookups you start in the editor send the flight number

or cruise line and date to aerodatabox (via RapidAPI) or cruisefeed.io.

- Place suggestions and geocoding use Apple Maps services under Apple's

privacy policy.

- Ideas and email import are written by Apple Intelligence on your device

(or, when available, Apple's Private Cloud Compute, which does not retain

data). Nothing is sent to the developer or to third-party AI services.

- Backups you export are files you control; a password-protected backup is

encrypted on the device with AES-256.

The app does not track you, does not share data with third parties for

advertising, and does not use your data across other companies' apps or

websites.

## Your choices

Delete a trip, a plan or your profile in the app at any time; deleting the app

removes its local data, and iCloud data can be removed from iCloud settings.

Notifications, Face ID lock and iCloud backup are all optional.
